Lockdown Moments
Being locked down in Siargao since 11th March has had its ups and downs. Whilst we’re so lucky to have been living on a tropical island entering the dry season, there are definitely stumbling blocks that we’ve hit along the way, that have tested our patience and mental strength! We’ve come through it all, though, with a great bunch of friends and some pretty incredible memories that I’m sure we’ll be sharing for a long time.
From quiet mornings chilling in bed with a cup of coffee and a podcast, to events slowly and surely opening to the public (low-key not allowed, but hey ho!) where we can get a frosty San Mig and eat some grilled sweetcorn. Every day brings something new, whether that’s a new emotion, experience, adventure or depth of conversation with our pals. I’ve turned to meditation, reading, yoga, music, baking - it’s amazing how we can fill our days when the wifi connection is too weak to even load Google.
Snapping and appreciating the beauty in the smaller, everyday moments - Fab turning the bike around on our dirt road, the purple sunsets that appear weekly, the sound of rubbing wax onto our surfboards, singing along to our favourite songs whilst driving, the sweet first sip of a cocktail after a week of no alcohol…
