If you know me well, or used to know me in a past life, I’ll have told you the story of the blog I used to write whilst at uni. Beginning as a backpackers diary, this blog soon became the diary of a part-time barista with a bug for exploring new places and eating delicious food. I kept a catalogue of all the beautiful coffee shops I frequented across Europe, and delved a little into my personal life and dilemmas that ran through my head.

With the loss of my uni email account, came the greater loss of my blog - that, despite my hardest requests, emails and pleads with Google, seems to have been dissolved in the great abyss of the Internet. I accepted it and came to terms with the fact that I’d ‘start a new blog. A better blog. With more to say, and more to see.’

… Then I moved to Jersey, spent a lot of time in the sea, lived and worked on a yacht for a year, and suddenly two years passed without blogging. I’ve kept many a photo diary and written journal throughout this time, but I’ve missed having my little online space to document the lesser-seen corners of cities, especially when I was lucky enough to be eating out every night to escape the marina.

So, here we are, beginning the blog again. With a future more uncertain than I’d ever realise, a bucket full of dreams and a determination to get outside and make something for myself, it’s going to be an adventure.
